Hey, I’m Ulrik Jørgensen, and I started Pharma AI Academy. I’ve got a Master’s in Biotechnology from Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and for the last 20 years, I’ve been deep in the pharmaceutical world. A solid 13 of those years were at Novo Nordisk, and the last 3, I’ve been at Ascendis Pharma.
Even though my background is biotech, I have always worked with IT in the pharma industry. It’s just something I’ve always loved. Lately, though, I have been really diving into AI, trying to get it into my every day.
And honestly, I’ve found it tough. Maybe it’s just me but figuring out how to use AI in a pharma setting and getting value out, with all the regulations, is tricky. You know, you wonder if it’s even okay to put data into ChatGPT or Copilot.
Then there’s the whole AI Agent thing. Since early 2025, it’s been a big deal – these agents that can do specific tasks. It’s cool, but it also feels like we need to really know what we’re doing with them.
That’s why I decided to start Pharma AI Academy. I want to gather and share education about AI that’s relevant to pharma, so we can all get better at using it and making smart decisions. Plus, I’d love to build a community around AI in the pharma and life science space. I think we’re all facing similar challenges, so let’s work on it together.
